Product Features:

  • Support an Important Cause: All proceeds from this raffle will go directly to humanitarian relief efforts for Palestine. The funds raised will support Pious Projects, providing essential relief for displaced Palestinians. By participating, you are not only getting a beautiful pair of moccasins but also contributing to a noble cause.
  • Unique Design: These moccasins are one-of-a-kind, crafted specifically for this cause. The design beautifully blends culturally significant motifs from both Haudenosaunee and Palestinian cultures, reflecting a deep respect for and connection between nations.
  • Custom Fit: The moccasins will be created in the shoe size selected by the winner of the raffle, ensuring a perfect fit and personalized experience.
  • High-Quality Materials: Featuring high quality fur cuffs and made from premium black moose leather, these moccasins will ensure durability and comfort, perfect for everyday wear or as a treasured piece of art.
  • Intricate Beadwork: This custom pair is adorned with intricate beadwork. The beads include a mixture of finishes, featuring glass satin beads and glass seed beads in size 11, meticulously placed by hand through hours of dedication and skill.
  • Cultural Significance: This design is infused with symbolism from both cultures. Indigenous people from Turtle Island honour the strawberry. Within Haudenosaunee traditions we hold the heart berry in high regard. This special pair of moccasins also honours Palestinian culture. When it became illegal by the occupation to use the Palestinian flag, they began to use the watermelon as a sign of their culture as it shares the same colours as their flag. This beadwork blends both images together to create a piece of meaningful and unique cultural synthesis.

About the Artist: Mickenzie Martin, the artist behind Bead and Bloom, learned her craft from her mother and community elders at the Red Barn summer program. Her work has been featured in prestigious exhibitions, including the Woodland Cultural Centre's Indigenous Art Juried Exhibition. Currently a PhD student studying pancreatic cancer, Mickenzie balances her academic pursuits with her passion for beadwork, creating pieces that are both visually and culturally rich.

Don't miss your chance to support humanitarian relief for Palestine and potentially own these unique moccasins, designed with a blend of Haudenosaunee and Palestinian cultural motifs. Enter the raffle today and be a part of something beautiful and impactful.

Once winner is chosen, moccasins could take up to 2 months to complete.
